Devils Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens)

Devils Claw is a native plant of South Africa. Its name is derived from the herb's claw-like fruit. The active ingredients believed to be responsible for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions are called harpagosides.

Healthspan's tablets contain 440mg of standardised extract, equivalent to 2200mg of root powder. This provides a minimum of 1.5% harpagosides (equivalent to 6mg per tablet) Healthspan recommend devil's claw is taken daily for four weeks to achieve maximum effect.

DID YOU KNOW? Southern African tribes have traditionally used devil's claw to help a wide variety of conditions including lower back pain. Recent research indicates that it may be helpful in maintaining healthy joints, ligaments and tendons, as well as providing natural pain relief.
